This company (Free State) came from a little town called Steynsrus.
They had many tokens made in denominations from 1 Pound . 10/- , 5/- , 2/6 , 2/- , 1/- , 6d ,3d , 1d
Be aware there is a 5/- which are different ??
The 1/- Shilling above is in an EXCELLENT condition with a smooth edge made of white celluloid, Size are 30,6mm by 2.5mm.
There is a variety of above which is only 1.75mm in thickness.
HERN : 286a 1 Pound = Indigo
HERN : 286b 10/- = Pink
HERN : 286c 5/- = Orange
HERN : 266d 2/6 = Yellow
HERN : 286e 2/- = Blue
HERN : 286f 1/- = White
HERN : 286g 6d = Green
HERN : 286h 3d = Black
HERN : 286j 1d = Red
